吳治教授，成功大學1957年學士，美國伊利諾大學機械工程系1966年博士。曾執教於美國海軍學院(US Naval Academy) 及約翰霍浦金斯大學(The Johns Hopkins University) 逾卌年。2006年退休。著有科研書籍9本及專業期刊論文五百餘篇。
