It's September 1977 and Gary Dunne has given up soldiering to look for a job, but when a friend asks for help in robbing two million pounds from a Dublin Bank to fund a guerrilla campaign against the British Army in Northern Ireland, he finds it hard to say no. Between the two of them, they devise a plan to carry out the raid, while Gary tries to tidy up various loose ends in his life. Meanwhile an old girlfriend returns to claim his affections and things begin to come together. Using a holiday on Spain's Costa Brava to build an alibi, the action moves back to Dublin, then to Zurich, with a stunning climax in Paris. But as usual with anything involving Gary Dunne, nothing is ever what it seems.
